Is it possible to play a DVD loaded with MP3's on the factory nav unit?
My buddy's TL lets him play Mp3's off of burned DVDs and I was wondering if the G37 Nav unit allows the same. I've tried searching high and low, but I can't find a definite answer. If it's possible, is there any specific method for filing structure that it needs to adhere to?

I've got a dvd full of mp3's in my 2010 vert. Works great. Does take about 15 secs to initialize but that could be the dvd r and not being a closed session. I'm going to try nero and burn a close session dvd.

Good news. Now if the songs are on a DVD does that mean you can copy them from it onto the MusicBox? Also can you copy from a usb device onto the MusicBox? I know you can't copy from an iPhone but I want to get them on the MusicBox if I can.
Thanks.
Thanks.

In the manual, it states that you can only copy uncompressed audio files. That pretty much only means conventional Audio CDs or possibly WAV files on a CD or DVD. Not sure if that's supported, though.

Obviously would be nice, but a simple solution is to get a couple 16-32GB flash drives, or just burn a bunch of audio CDs and re-rip (though you are essentially compressing audio files twice and they will lose a lot of fidelity).

Thanks. So there is no way to get an iTunes library of music onto the MusicBox in the car????? Wow. Very disappointed. I now have this big MusicBox hard drive that is frankly useless.
Edit: is this only an iTunes issue?

Now I know I can plug my iPhone in via the USB and play songs that way. But one of the reasons I'm trying to copy them is that playing direct from my phone doesn't always work correctly. Specifically after I select a song to play, I hear nothing until I unplug and plug back in my phone. Then I get audio. Also is there a limit on the number of artists it will show as after a certain point they don't list.
