Nav will fetch more on resale if you are thinking that far in advance.

Another benefit of a nav car is its higher blue book value at trade-in time. You can show this on KBB.com by putting in all the parameters of your car with nav, and doing it again without. For my own G37 I found the difference to be around $700.

+1

If you have the extra $ for the Nav option, then just do it!
I have a Garmin GPS and a Droid cell phone with GPS and I'm very glad I went for the Nav option!

I was in the same shoes as some of you few years ago....why should i pay for Nav and stuff. This was in my BMW 3 series. All 3 years that i owned BMW...i missed Nav, Bluetooth and how it integrates all features.

So when i purchased my 2011 G37....i got all loaded up and i am loving it so far.
Can you get by with Garmin or a droid?...yes for sure.
Is Nav a must or need...not really but i like it as convenience and nice features that come with it.

If you can swing extra moolah...definetely go for it...you won't regret it.

Uhh, what safety feauture are you talking about ??? I can input directions on the fly.... Did they add this feature to the G37 ?? If so, sucks to have a G37 with nav.DOMO

I had an 08 G35 and it too had the safety feature, from what I know, there is zero differences between the 07s and the 08s.

Okay... speaking from non NAV driver, I do miss this feature. More than anything I miss not having backup camera.

1) Do you have $ or willing to spend more for NAV $ --> if yes, then go get it. You won't regret.

2)You have the money for still having 2nd thought? Do you drive or go out of town alot? Going to new places can be hard to drive if you don't have direction. If so, Yes get it.
