Some assistance with Homelink

Hi guys,

Just wanna say things first for all the great feedback and answers you've given me so far.

Need a little help with setting up homelink.

I've read through many of the threads and setup homelink before on one of my previous cars.

In this case, I'm living in an apartment, and unable to locate the learn button. I thought I'd run this by some of you in case you have some knowledge of where the smart/learn key is on this model. Please see attached pics.

I've tried a google search, but the visible text/labeling on the unit doesn't seem to show a model number, and I can't find any information. Any ideas?

I suspect the learn button is behind a removable panel on this unit and wanted to try figuring it out (with some help of course) before asking the caretaker. Not sure, but I wouldn't imagine the caretaker is eager to help me on this one as some of you might understand.

Thanks in advance.

J

you have to hold your remote to your car mirror about 2 inch away and set it. then go to the one on the garage and link it after.. you can go in your manual and it will show you exactly how to do it!

I found the owner's manual online at:

http://www.liftmaster.com/consumerwe...cs/0132851.pdf

You have to access the "logic board" and push the "radio" button. Depending on the install, that may or may not on the actual lift unit itself. Do you have a secondary control panel mounted to the garage wall somewhere?

You car's Homelink can be programmed as another remote from that point on. See page 14 to 18 for more details.

IIRC, you can just borrow a remote from your leasing office, hold it up to the G's homelink and transfer the code as instructed in the manual.

The "learn" from the main unit is, from what i know, to get rolling codes enabled.
