Climate control not showing on screen

Hello,

I have a 2010 G37x coupe, i have only had the car for a month but have noticed that if i turn on or change the temp on my climate control it doesn't pop up on the screen. The only way for me to view the climate control settings is by pressing the status button. This isn't continuous, just happens 50% of the time. Anyone else have the same problem?

Thanks

I noticed the exact same thing last night with my 2010 G37 sedan. The climate control display isn't popping up. As far as I can tell, it is continuous for me, but it only started last night, so I'll have to see.

Anyone have an idea as to an easy fix? I'm not going to take it to the dealer just for that....if I can't do anything or it doesn't work itself out I'll just have to wait until its next scheduled service.

FYI, this seemed to work itself out. The problem persisted for about 36 hours - the display has been fine ever since.

Thanks, Mine had still done it over the course of a week. I haven't driven it much since i posted this to determine if this is an on going issue. Based on the number of replies i'm assuming this is not common and could be related to only my vehicle. Once summer arrives i'll probably revisit this issue.

Hi
I have the same vehicle, about a year and half now, that happened to me for the first time yesterday, but it worked fine today. No idea why. I'm having a problem also with climate, when I set heat on footwell mode, after 15-20 minutes it switches to dash vent. You run into this problem?

Reflash?

Is it possible that this might be an issue listed in an TSB? You just might have to have the computer system re-flashed to get the latest code for this system. My 2012 hasn't had this problem. Also read the owners manual because some things don't appear depending on what mode you might be in. This is more true on the NAV system from what I can determine. Good luck.

hah, i too have the same car and same exact problem this morning. i must've twisted the dial about 20 times today trying to get it to show up, and it showed up only once. i had my transmission reflashed about 3 weeks ago but that's the only software update i've had that may have affected it. going to try self-diagnostic mode (holding off for 5 seconds) and maybe an ECU reset later...

I have a 10' G37x sedan and notice this happens in my car also. When I notice it I shut the car off and restart it. Seems to work everytime. Only happens once in a blue moon.

It's the bridge control network which let's all the different systems talk to the car and let's it do things like show climate settings on nav screen.
