There is no factory subwoofer, just the woofers in the doors
There really is no best when it comes to car audio. It's all about what you are looking for and what you want to spend.
I have a JL Audio sub and amp that cost about $700 together. Add the enclosure and wires it ran about $1200 total. Excellent system but it depends what you want to spend.

I can never discourage enough when I see forums like this asking "what subwoofer should I buy" or "what sub is the best"?
Every subwoofer has different specs and unique features from voicecoils, to how deep or tight the bass is, as well as which box or box type(bandpass/port/sealed) or space they are to be used(sq ft), or what car, or what angle, or if it should be inverted, etc etc etc!
Also, everyone is looking for something different. First things first, you need to learn what type of bass you want in your car or what type of music you prefer to listen to, and then go from there.....
Please please, do your research when it comes to a system if you want to do it right.

+1 for JL
like 1cleanG said, it all really depends on what sound you're looking for. If you're planning on spending some $$ on the sub/amp then I would go the extra mile and replace the Bose.. You'll be much happier if you do.

It all depends on what you're looking for, as many have said. JL is great stuff and it sounds great, and many swear by it, but it's not what I prefer.
I'm a Kicker guy and have been for years (check sig for my stuff). I love the sound, and it's more fitting for the type of music I listen to (Bass 305, Bass Mekanik, etc.)
How much do you want to spend? $$$ will be the determining factor. Better to spend the $ and get what you want the first time instead of buying, selling, buying again because you're not satisfied from the get-go

Don't forget to have a proper subwoofer enclosure built for your G; probably the more important factor in determining your bass quality.
The 'best' sub on the market will sound terrible in an improperly built and executed cabinet.

If you want to get the best box you should probably get one of the 4080 boxes or have a custom fiberglass box made like the 4080. That is unless you don't want to use your trunk anymore
