While listening to XM on the way home from work today, the audio suddenly quit and the display read "LOADING". Nothing I could do would change it, and I tried switching XM channels, turning the whole audio system on/off, cycling through some AM/FM channels (which still worked fine), etc.

Only after getting home and turning the car off and back on would XM return. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a common occurrence?

i get this randomly as well. it will say loading for awhile then suddenly go away. It may be that XM was doing some kind of maintenance for a little bit or for whatever reason you lost reception.

i did mention this to XM before and told me I would have to go to the dealer and have them check it out. they support the XM hardware I guess.

I doubt it has anything to do with XM performing maintenance. The problem occured with the radio and lasted for 20 minutes until I got home and was able to turn off the ignition and restart it. Although electronics may occasionally "lock up", this problem didn't correct itself. It's the first time this has happened in 5 weeks of ownership, and I hope it's a rare occurrence!
