Navigation import

Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a G37 with navi. Having looked at the navi owners manual it mentions you can import an address book from a USB memory stick into the navi's address book. What format does the import file need to be in? And what info will it display/import?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I looked at this also. You can export the address book as well onto a usb. I tried to read it but it was not in a recognizable format. Good luck

So you exported from the navi and then tried to import immediately from it, and it failed to import what it just exported? Wow. That's not good!

No I exported it just fine. I tried to open it on a PC but it was a no go. I did not try to import the same file. Sorry for the confusion.

As long as your bluetooth enabled phone is connected, you will be able to view all contacts via the navigation.

OK. But that's just PHONE contact info. How about navigation info? Meaning locations. I understood that you could import "locations" as well. I know that address books have a long and lat attribute that can be used by gps navi systems. As per VCard format addresses.
