iphone/ipod charging cord
I discovered this item in another forum and thought I would share it here. I bought this and it works a lot better than the Scosche adapter because it locks into place like the original cable does. So no more losing connectivity if you hit a bump or rough roads. It was originally for Fords but it works just fine in my 09 G37.

Damn 40 dollars for a converter? It sucks that apple changed the Voltage but they should have made a legit converter at the apple store, it would work and I'm sure it would probably be around 30$
Does anyone know anything about the "Isimple" converter?
Amazon.com: ISIMPLE IS712 iPod 12 Volt to 5 Volt Charging Converter: Electronics
Its way cheaper and I get free shipping through amazon prime.

There was also a couple others from peripheral and other mfg's on amazon. Would love to know if anybody has tried one. I already know not to get the scocshe, however most people on amazon are ordering that!

Still deciding whether to use an iPod or a 16gb thumb drive.
My iPod is a 1st iPod touch. If I leave it plugged in, the ipod battery will die? (new owner and haven't played or read much yet).
Thx

It's not a problem with your 2010. Apple changed the charging voltage of their newer iPod/iPhone devices from a Firewire standard (12V) to a USB standard (5V). These devices perform that conversion.
