No. Just music. If you want traffic & weather to go with music, it costs $7/mo more. If you want just traffic or just weather to go with music, it's still extra.

I just recently renewed my subscription 2 days ago, and XM also has another promotion besides the $77 one that's $20 for 5 months service, which comes out to be about $23 with fees and after the 5 months are up just call and ask for the promotion again. (0n my second 5 months already)

My 3-month subscription expires later this week. I debated the $88.78/year deal, or the $576.49 lifetime subscription.

I went for the lifetime subscription. Here's why:

1. I plan on keeping my car longer than 6.5 years, which is the time it would take to break even at $88.78 per year.

2. If my car gets stolen or totaled, or the stereo gets stolen or damaged, I can apply the lifetime subscription to the next radio.

3. Whenever I sell my car, the XM subscription stays with the car for life. So it's a perk for the next owner. I ought to be able to get a couple hundred more $$ for the car whenever I do sell/trade it in due to the "free XM for life" factor.

4. XM let me finance over 5 months at 0% interest ($115.30 per month).

Assuming XM will be around in 6.5 years...

lifetime for $500 sounds like a lot. you'd have to keep the car for more than 9 years to spend less than the $55/year deal which is what the 23/5 month deal works out to be.

Well for one. I dont want to hassle with calling every 5 months. so i got the 77/year deal. I'd have to have teh car 6.5 years in order for it to even out. I do plan on having it that long and even longer, so it works out for me.

I have heard people renewing at $77 year after year, but yet to hear anyone renew at $20 every 5 months. I think that maybe a one-time only promotion. Even if XM were to let you do it over again, as someone has pointed out, it woudl be a hassle to go through to save 9 bucks each time (77-55)/12x5.

Those that got the $77 deal, did it include nav traffic and weather? When I called up I was told that it's only for XM everything, but when I went online to renew it included nav traffic+weather+xm everything.
