Question about ipod interface on 08 g37 coupe
I hooked a 5th gen ipod nano up to the car for the first time the other day.
it works fine but do i really gotta turn the wheel 6000 times to get to get from a to z in the alphabet?
also why doesnt it charge the ipod while plugged in?

yes, you have to turn the wheel forever or hit the down button (forever). I wish they would put an alphabet on the side of the screen so that you could click on the first letter and then only have to scroll through bands that start with that letter. I was thinking of making some playlists like "A-D", etc to split them up.
I believe only the "Classic" i-pods will re-charge (my iPhone won't)

I bought the converter from scoshe and it worked really well for about three weeks. It falls out really easily cause it doesnt hook in it just sits in place. Also stopped playing music through it after three weeks. Still charges though.

You can use this adapter just fine to solve the problem, been working great for me (10 months now).

The 2010 has a USB jack now so it will charge the iPhone/Pod. Also, the rotary **** will now cycle through the alphabet instead of every artist if turned fast enough (the steering wheel button does this too if held down continuously)....
