by removing the bose amps did you have any issues with nav directions or calls over bluetooth being heard?

Very, very nice job! It looks about as clean as the 4080 but you have the pride and satisfaction of being able to say you did it yourself.

No issues with nav or B/T, this is all controlled by the box in the dash.
My car is a grey import so the nav is all jap anyway. I interfaced a Garmin unit to get Australia nav.

The new amp is a 5 channel unit, so it powers all the speakers and sub.

The amp is mount flat on the rear seat, I then made a surround out of MDF and spaced it out and covered it. If you look at your coupes the back seat isn't flush with the rear panel.

Thanks for all the great comments.

the reason we ask is because a few of us who replaced the bose amp have found the BT and nav volumes very low compared to the rest of the music. I can use BT...it's still plenty usable. I have to turn it up to max (in the settings) and I still have to turn up the regular volume to almost max also. If I don't remember to turn the main volume down, as the call is ending, then I get blasted with loud music! lol

Great work, wogboy. Looks very nice. Did you keep the factory speakers in the doors, rear deck, and dash? If so, how are you splitting the output from the 5 channel amp to the appropriate source (Woofer, Mid, Tweeter in the door for example)? Are you using a passive 3-way crossover on the amplified side? Also, did you do away with the center speaker in the dash?
