2010 G37x Navigation Display Issue
Hi all, just got a new G37x (loving it), but the last couple times I turned the car off and walked away I noticed that the navigation display did not go off. Basically, whatever screen it happens to be on when the car is shut off (audio, settings, etc...) remains on the display even if you lock the car and walk away. It's the weekend of course and the dealer is closed, so I am worried about running the battery down. If this something dumb I did, or an issue with the car?
Thanks for any thoughts you have.

You could disconnect the battery until you could bring it to the dealer or connect a charger that will maintain the battery until then.
Just by doing a momentary disconnect of your battery might fix it by resetting the electronics to the Nav screen.
I have a 1.5 amp smart charger that only cost about $20 from Walmart. It wont overcharge and you can leave it hooked up, when your not driving, until you get the problem fixed.
I haven't read of any other member having your problem.
Does the radio stop playing? Are you sure you turned off the ignition or could you have accidentally tapped the button twice and left it on the ACC setting?
Good luck

Problem Solved:
It pays to have smart women around. GF asked earlier if I left iPhone plugged in. Answer: No. But she was in car with me trying to figure it out and actually opened center console and saw cables themselves were still plugged in. Unplugged them and problem solved. Plugged them in individually and problem was still solved. Eventuallly figured out it was the iphone usb cable with a Kensington pass through charger (12v charger adaptor with iphone male plug on other end, with iphone female plug for iphone cord) plugged in at same time and linked together that was causing the issue. I guess it completes some sort of a power drawing circuit that causes the nav to stay on.

Glad to read that you are fairly sure you found the cause and how to resolve it.
It would be interesting if after quite a few ignition turn offs, without a problem, you duplicated the condition that you think caused it and see if it results in the same problem.
