My Blackberry 9700 worked fine with my 2008 EX with navi but not with my new 2010Gx coupe. Infiniti's Bluetooth Help Line says sorry the new Infinitis with navi no longer support the call waiting feature that the EX does. They had many complaints but nothing to do. What kind of answer is that? Do they expect their customers to buy third party bluetooth devices in this day and age?

 

that sounds like the tech person just didn't want to help.

I have heard of some people w/ 08-09's not able to do call waiting, but I've never had problems as most people haven't.

I think it might just be a software incompatibility or the phone...it should work fine

 

I thought it was the phone at first as well but it works perfectly out of the car. I even updated to the latest OS on the Blackberry. The dealer has even called Infiniti a few times but no help. The bluetooth works fine but if I'm on the phone and I get another call I hear the beeb beeb but can't see who's calling and can't switch to answer new caller.

 

hmmm I really can't believe Infiniti would have that software on the 09's and take it out on the 2010

Good idea. The 9700 is not on their compatible phone list but my old 9000 is. I'll try that. I also was amazed at the answer. I even asked if they will be updating the software and he just kept saying that the 2010 system with navi wont support the call waiting feature.

Igor, Is your 2010 a coupe or sedan. Infiniti called me back today and told me that they are aware of the incompatibility with call waiting and their engineers are looking into this.

 

He has the sedan. But the entire radio/navi/bluetooth should be exactly the same from coupe to sedan.

I was told by Infiniti that it is just the coupe. That is why the same phone worked with my EX with navi but wont work with the new coupe.

 

It's a little different issue, but my 2010 G37 coupe, with nav, will not show the names of incoming callers. I called Infiniti tech support, and they told me the 2009 G37 did have name caller ID, but not the 2010. I can't figure out why they would take such a step backward - sounds like it's the same thing with the call waiting. Why would they do this - who ever heard of technology going backward?!

 

That's exactly what I said when they told me that the 2010 with navi doesn't support call waiting.

 

Same problem with iphone 3.1.2/3.1.3 and jailbreak. No call waiting. For me i would hear the beep then it would auto-ignore the call. Maybe i should call too. If they get enough complaints, issue a software update?

 

It does the same for my Blackberry. You should call.
