No call waiting on 2010 G Coupes with navi
#17
Went to my cellular store where I know the owner for quite a while. He tried his bb 9700 in my car and got the same result. Then when I told him the answer that i got from Infiniti that my phone was not on the compatible phone list and the 9000 was. We tried a 9000 and guess what, the same result. Obviously the answers I got from Infiniti are baseless and ridiculous. It's quite disappointing that there is no support for this problem.

No call waiting
I had a 2008 G37x w/nav. I found my non-approved LG phone worked perfectly and allowed me to have call-waiting. Now I have the 2010 G37X and the same phone does not have good call quality and call waiting does NOT work. I also called the bluetooth helpline and I was told that the call waiting feature was disabled. I really enjoyed this feature!
Also they removed the power lumbar support and replaced it with a manual one.
I am disappointed that Infiniti would remove featues that customers have enjoyed using.

When I purchased my 2010 G37, I was shocked to find out that it has the exact same manual lumbar support adjustment as the 1995 Maxima I had 15 years ago.

Also having the call waiting issue, it's truly infuriating - I was on a call and missed a very important call and did not realize it until getting out of the car. I tried this with a Blackberry Bold 9000, Storm and Iphone 3GS - none worked with my my 2010 G37x sedan.
This is really unacceptable in this day and age. I would go back to my 2007 g35x in a second (which worked fine with all the above phones).....or maybe just never buy Inifiniti again if they don't fix this for the 2010's.

It doesn't work for me either. iPhone 3GS OS4 w/ and w/o jailbreak. Neither worked. Strangely enough, I can hear when the person I'm talking to has a call coming in, and it beeps.

Recall Letter
I received a letter from Infiniti Canada last week. It said that Infiniti was aware of the problems with the iphones and asked us to bring in our vehicle to be reprogram. I called the number on the letter to find out if this covers Blackberrys as well. The person that answered said that there is no info on that. I then called the dealer. They weren't even aware of the recall. This is a complete lack of customer respect on the part of Infiniti. I also informed them that my nav system data is incomplete. There are streets missing when you search but you can find them on the actual map and spelled the same way. The system also directs you to make left turns where it is illegal to do so. This is my third Nissan product with nav and the previous ones were great. They really dropped the ball with this car.

I would love to hear that Inifiniti is acknowledging the general call waiting issue...

No call waiting was not mentioned. "Navigation and entertainment functions in regards to the iPhone". I wanted to attach the letter that I scanned but the file is too large. If someone knows how else I may post it I would be glad to do so.
