Video Input?

I'm doing a little research before heading out to the dealer and was wondering if someone could answer this. Does the 2010 g37 with Nav have a video/audio input? I currently have an aftermarket system on my TL that I plug my ipod touch to with composite video/rca cables.

I sometimes like to watch a video while sitting in the car waiting. Never driving of course.

There is also a feature on the G37 for dvd playback, but I'm guessing there is a slot loading dvd player somewhere that takes the disk. Is this right?

Yes, it does have video inputs that can only be used when the car is in park.

The 2010 does not have the RCA inputs. There is only a USB port that you can use to connect an ipod. Cannot play videos from the ipod though.

The DVD is slot loaded in the dash.

Thanks for the info. I can probably live without it.

Perhaps the DVD player inputs to the nav/radio can be replaced by video out from my ipod. Does anyone know? I recall in the 2007 g35 G2 it had the rca inputs, but I wasn't sure if they made it to 2010. Too bad they didn't.

On the 09 you can't play DVD-video through the CD player. CDs only. Not sure about the 08s. Maybe someone can confirm that.

In the 2010 models with Navi you can play DVDs using the in dash disc player when the car is stopped and in park.

Sorry for reviving an old thread (it proves I used the search feature LOL) but I'm trying to find out if there's a way to bypass the safety feature that blocks video playback while driving on a non navi '08. Just bought an ipod to RCA cable and I wanna watch movies while driving long trips in Hawaii. Too boring watching movies while parked.

LOL bad joke, I want it for passenger entertainment.

Safe to say I could just buy an ungraded slot from a 10+ G and have DVD playback in my 09?
