How do you put your iPod on shuffle using the interface?

...considering that's even possible. Anyone?

Use the scan button on the radio to cycle through shuffle and/or repeat.

If you want to go random through the entire contents of your library, just start by selecting a single song from the "songs" section. If you select from an artist, album or a playlist it will shuffle through that album/playlist.

I didn't think the scan button put shuffle on...

It does in my 2009, at least. I think the '08 is the same -- I'm not sure which model you have.

The button says "Scan-rpt" or something like that. It does scan on the radio and enables the repeat (and shuffle) for the ipod or hard drive.
