Jackshack, no AUX, just got to screen that shows the ipod playlist. I believe you have to hit DISC and cycle through the CD, music box, then ipod if it doesn't automatically come up. Then play pandora on the ipod. My ipod is on iOS4.0.2 though.

OK I figured it out - didn't mean aux either. To do what you are doing I needed to go to iPone on the stereo and then hit pause in order for the "other" audio to flow through the iPhone and then to the system. By the way, thanks for this forum. Lots of good information out here!

So - is it established that there is no way to stream from a non-ipod/iphone to a non-nav 2010 with the USB port? How can an effing $38,000 car not have a simple Aux to plug-in you phone/mp3 player? I listen to podcasts thru Google Listen on my Evo and I can't figure out a way to play my podcasts through the Car audio. I bought the anycom Fipo just like KG and went through the same disappointment of finding out that it does not work on the 2010.

I agree. It seems ridiculous that I cannot stream music from my phone. Has anyone every tried the Imic as an adapter? If the car can recognize an Ipod maybe this adapter could work too?

Dension Webradio

I'm in the same boat as some of you guys. I have a non-nav 2010 G37X Premium and trying to figure out how to steam music from my cell to the car.

I have come across this interesting device, it plugs into your car's USB port and connects to your phone via bluetooth as streams music from your your cell to your car. Essentially, you configure the USB device with your preferred online radio stations from your computer, then plug it into your car's USB port, and the radio stations shows up as MP3 files so you just select which station you want to listen to and it streams it from your cell, to the USB device which is plugged into your car.

It's called Dension Webradio USB Stick

Bring your favorite online radio into your car stereo - Dension Webradio

I have not yet tried this, but it may be an alternative to those who do not want to pay for XM radio. It's free online radio!

Regards,
Tony

I didn't want to start a new thread, and this is similar. I want to use my BlackBerry Curve 3G as my music player. Since I don't have the iPod adapter in the car, am I correct to assume that I could use something like this?
Amazon.com: 3.5mm Stereo Male To 2 RCA Male Cable 5 ft.: Electronics
Yes, I realize I don't need 5 feet of cable, but you get the idea: 3.5mm MtoM RCA cable.

It also seems I would not be able to use the steering wheel/instrument panel controls to switch songs/artists/etc. Only the controls on the BlackBerry would work, correct?

I agree 100%. I was shocked to find there was no AUX input for a 3.5mm stereo input jack. Seriously, how is that possible in a 2010 vehicle? At least my 05 Solara had a cassette tape input so I could use a crappy tape adapter to play Pandora.

I have an iPhone 3g and even using that in place of the iPod gave less than stellar results ('09 G37S). It connected, but basically makes it near impossible to use the phone at the same time, and the interface is harder to get to and isn't as smooth. I just went ahead and got an iPod classic and like it much more.

MP3s on a USB flash drive. That's really the easiest, cheapest option. I believe if you keep your music directly on your phone's internal memory, the car should be able to play it. It just depends on if the phone is viewed as a mass storage device, which I think most Android phones do.
