Lost XM Traffic Signal

My 2010 G37 (bought in March) lost the XM Traffic signal since Monday. There was no color-coded lines to indicate traffic condition along the freeways. When I pressed Info - Traffic buttons, all the options were greyed out. Meanwhile, the radio and weather signals work fine, just no traffic. I have called XM customer service to refresh the signal twice, but still no traffic signal.

Has anyone experienced this kind of problem? Any idea how to solve it? Thanks in advance.

I just had the same thing happen to me. I thought it was the subscription expired. But now I am wondering.

I was just out and it is working fine today. Maybe a glitch in the overall XM traffic system

I had hoped it was overall XM traffic system, but so far it is still not working. I don't know what else to do other than calling XM again. (I doubt it is a vehicle electronic system issue.)

Did you have the radio on for 10 minutes while they sent the reset signal? I think also there is a way to log on to your account and send the refresh signal yourself if you want to try again.

Otherwise, I'd keep calling and try to escalate your issue to a supervisor until it gets worked out -- if they can't do it I guess the next step would be to take it to the dealer for a warranty service and have them do a firmware reload or factory reset or something like that.

Yesterday, I had it under the sun for about 15 minutes with acc power on (but without the engine running), XM radio dialed to channel 1, and turn on the navi map. Then, I proceeded to drive it for about 20 minutes. I also requested refresh on XM website, but so far still no luck.

I will call XM a few more times. If this still does not get resolved, I will wait till my first service appointment at 3,750 miles (currently just shy of 3,000) to have the dealer take a look at it.

Okay, problem solved. I called XM customer service again today. This time they transferred me to a tech guy. He did a reactivation on my ID, and then send the refresh signal again. It worked!
