iPod oddity

So I got my new XS in early Feb. I've been syncing a 3rd Gen 80GB classic with it from day one and it's been great. Yesterday I got an onscreen message: Check USB Device. Bottom line, the iPod wouldn't sync. I brought it inside the house and hooked it up to my home stereo and it worked fine. So I hooked up a spare 2nd Gen 30GB classic to the G and it works fine. Weird.....

OK, now the same thing happened to my backup. I did reset it then it worked fine again. I keep my ipod plugged in all the time. Basically it lives in the console storage box unless I get new music. So I guess I just have to reset it every month or so. Seems like something in the Infiniti software that the ipod doesn't like. Anyone else have issues like this?

I'm not sure if I get what youre saying but mines sync and dont sync every other time, I thought it was my old crappy ipod all along. I just unplug it and plug it back, and it would work again.

Thanks,

I'm seeing that this is a common issue from another thread.

Have you guys ever had an issue with your iPod working just fine and then one day starting the car and having the iPod show no music? Turns out for some reason it looked like my older mini got totally erased, all music was gone. Did another reset in iTunes and restored my music, so far no similar problems but it seemed like the iPod and the car didn't get along.
