Magden and HKS does similar things. There are several major differences with my system:
- Using OEM screen and touchscreen, instead of a mouse or remote
- RGB quality instead of RCA. Enables you to seen higher resolutions
- Completely customizable gauges. I made this GTR style theme for my gauges. But you can make it look like whatever you want.
- Listen to music while looking at the gauges. The magden and HKS system forces you to use the RCA inputs. This means you have to set the stereo to "AUX Video" mode, which means no music.
- Do more than just display gauges. I plan to use this system to control my coilovers and play movies.

I'd be really interested in finding out how to develop for the platform. Assuming that is what this is.
More info?
Edit:
Saw the video and looks like you're running Win7/Vista so I'm guessing this is running off some separate PC? How are you getting info from the car (RPM, etc) ...
Too many questions.

The software is called Dashcommand by Palmer Performance. I have a carpc running windows 7 and running this program. The dashcommand program receives some of the data from a OBD reader. Other information (boost, egt, and oil temp) are provided by PLX Device Sensors.
