I realized that my 2010 G37 xS doesnt pause whatever it is playing when a phone call comes in or when i make a phone call.

Such as a cd or dvd. and then when I am done with the phone call i have rewind whatever I was playing.

Is there a way around this? such as a setting function? or is there something wrong with my system?

 

Nope, it's pretty annoying. My 09 does this as well. I just changes the sound to "phone" without pausing the CD/iPod/Music Box.

 

well that's just stupid.... My TL pauses what ever I'm listening to when I get a call on my bluetooth...

 

The Infiniti system is to mute whatever you're listening to when a call comes in. Then, it's the driver's choice to turn off the stereo to continue. I don't find it to be that difficult and a better choice to avoid distractions...

 

I agree. The TL is nice the way it pauses a CD. The ipod has a pause function so why not!!

I have to say though, the TL I was in wasn't able to allow you to use your cel phone to make a call with bluetooth. For example, sometimes I find it annoying to say my 10 digit voice mail passcode so I just pick up my phone in the g and dial it on the phone. It goes through but doesn't stop the bluetooth. Acura wasn't able to do that. The phone is locked out once bluetooth starts. Maybe it was just that cel but not sure.

 

It may be a stupid question, but how do you turn off the stereo while you are on a call (via bluetooth of course)?
