I ended up going with the 77.00 for the year plus 11.00 royalty fees. so in the end total was 88.00 for the year.

My membership is going to cancel in 5 days. I already called to cancel once, they were trying to get me the $77 deal, plus loyal fee. However they would not discount 1 penny off for traffic, i think its 3.99 a month, or so. Total with one year i got was $134-140. Anyone got a better deal with both XM/Traffice for a year?

reviving old thread for update!!

just renewed for 5 months for $23. The guy said when the 5 months is up I can request the same deal and they should give it. That comes out to $4.60/mo. or $55.20 a year.

I just got my car last week. there is xm music, but when I hit the traffic button it says "no traffic info received" so I assume I need to ask them to turn on the trial for the traffic feature.

before I went to call them, I wanted to get my subscription number. I went thru all of the menus in the radio and can't find the xm info. does anyone know where I can find that info? my manual is at home and I'm away on business. cheers all.

edit, FOUND THE INFO THX https://www.myg37.com/forums/2890774-post4.html

that message just means that there isn't any notable traffic information in your current area. you'll only receive traffic info if there is something significant (accident, construction, etc.) happening nearby.

has anyone renewed recently?
I have sirius in my jeep and still can't believe that these companies act separately.
NO multi car disco for xm + sirius customers, unreal.

so what kind of deals are out there?

and lastly, I purchased my car in october and it was being driven for a few months by the g.m. who must have activated the free 90 days or whatever it is. I am a little annoyed that I only got a month or so complimentary when other car makes are giving people a year free.

I just got another infiniti so I have the 3 month trial again... I am a long time howard stern listener so I was trying to add the best of sirius package to my xm trial which seems to be a more difficult task than i had anticipated.

The first few people I talked to said that it was impossible to add it to a trial subscription (even though I offered to pay for the additional service but refused to pay for the full xm service while I still had the free trial). A couple calls later, a supervisor said it would be taken care of within 72 hours and I would not have to worry about it. After the 72 hours, nothing had happened so I called back. This new operator refused to let me speak to a supervisor and told me it was going to be 11 dollars a month just to add the best of sirius to my xm trial. I have taken a week or so break from those calls because it was incredibly frustrating getting a different answer every time I spent an hour on the phone with those people. Anyone else have a similar experience and/or a solution?

Anyone gotten any decent deals with XM recently in Canada? I was quoted $121 to renew for another year. No other offers, I dropped by subscription.

Since somebody brought this thread from the dead, I thought I'd ask:

Has anyone ever had a free 12-month trial subscription? XM told me that my car has a 12-month trial subscription that started in November. I bought the car on January 5th so i'm curious as to why the subscription started before I bought the car, and why it's a 12 month and not a 3 month. If it's supposed to be 3 months I won't complain, but if the new ones are 12 months, I'm going to throw a fit at the dealer.

Any update on adding Stern to the package? I'm interested in keeping XM after the trial period because the available stations in south Florida are so GD awful! But, I'd really like to get Howard as well.
