yup the xm radiio isn't loud. I have to raise the volume to hear it better. when switching back to radio, I have to lower the volume a lot.

XM customer service is telling me that our 2010 G37's with the navigation package don't have the option of having Nav traffic or weather. I keep telling her to check.

ask them to waive the activation fee if there is one, and negotiate the removal of the copyright royalty fee. ask to talk to a customer supervisor. there shoudl still be a "welcome back" sort of special going on.

i got a year for $65.

dang... so many fees. When they call me back, which they will, I'll ask them about those fees.

thanks for the heads up.

Two months after expiration of the trial period on wife's Lexus RX, we just received a postcard yesterday with the $77/year deal to "come back to XM". She actually never listened to XM during the trial period , so we are not going to subscribe on her car. However, to me two months seems to be a long time to wait when the XM signal on my G37 goes off and I definitely want it.

XM Radio renewal

Called yesterday to renew mine. Quoted me $17+ per month. Told them someone had told me about a deal (radio only) for $77/year. She didn't hesitate -- knew exactly what I was talking about and didn't push back. Total was $136.66 all in (music royalty fee tack-on, etc.) for a year for Radio + Traffic.

5 month 19.99

I just renewed my subscription (after 3 months trial) for 5 months for 19.99. With taxes/fees it turned out to be about $23. Not bad..

Asked for promotion of $77 and it ended up $88 with music royality fees. Same 170 XM channels as the trial. You have to ask, they won't offer. Thanks for the help.

I don't know about you guys but there is only one reason to get XM and that's to get the Sirius package that has Stern on it, I have an ipod if I want to listen to music. Problem is they will not give you a deal if you want the Sirius package or traffic package, totally stinks! Plus Howard has not signed a contract past this year so I just keep re-upping for 3 month committments, they don't have any 6 month deals/packages. Has anybody had any success getting a deal with any extra package?

I'm sure your iPod is filled with all your favorite songs and whatnot, but dont you get tired of hearing the same songs? With Sat radio you are always hearing new releases and each channel always has special guests and performances.. I'm just saying.. (lol not looking to make a flame war.. )

Just a reminder. I feel comfortable saying I know the most about Sirius/XM Radio on this forum, If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.. I am part of the family and will love to help you out.. I have no control over pricing or the billing dept, so please dont ask if i can get you a discount.. the answer is NO

I personally use both XM and an iPod filled with songs and podcasts.
