Smile Compustar Pro-Series 2W9000FMR

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and it has helped me a lot. I currently own a 2008 G37S 6MT. I plan to put a few things on it including an alarm system. I was planning to install the Compustar Pro-Series 2W9000FMR. I would like to ask some feedback regarding this alarm system for my car; are there any features of the stock car affected by this alarm system? Any issues/concerns? How's the intelli-key system and the push-to-lock button by the door ****? How much you like this alarm system?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated to help me decide.

Thank you!

I have sold Compustar for years but do not carry the pro series. The 2w900fm-r is a remote and not a system. For years the 2w900fm-as has been the most popular alarm/starter combo system by them ( -as is the complete system, -r is the replacement remote).

I have a 2w900 system in my 4runner and have had very few complaints over the years from customers. Compustar now sells there systems alla-cart style. You have to buy a system first (which does not include remotes) then purchase your remote kit separately.

1st question is are you looking for a remote starer/alarm combo or just remote start.

Fortin is the company who make immobilizer bypass modules that are d2d plug and play with compustar. They do make modules that work with the g37 so I am not sure why compustar said it would be an issue.

This is the 2w900fm-as system. Im pretty sure I sold out of the weekend and last I heard from compustar they are gone for good (sold as a complete kit like this)

Yeah that is the exact one that I have.... Yeah I don't know why they said it either. I will have to call them back and follow up since it is just sitting in my closet collecting dust, instead of protecting my car LOL

just to answer some of your original questions...

I think the OEM alarm system is just fine. I don't see any reason to spend money to fix something that isn't broken (IMHO).

I never EVER take the key fob out of my pocket. I simply use the botton on the driver's door. There have actually been multiple times when I have set the G's alarm off while detailing and using my PC
