when i load some cds into my music box it does not recognize the artist or title of song. short of entering every title and artist, is there an easy way to enter the info? i have edited the info but it still does not recognize it when it plays
This page should explain things. If you have a compact flash slot. Any CD's newer than your car will need to be looked up. Gracenote software is only as old as your car.
funny that the dealer didnt tell me about that on their site when i asked them. it was a salesman though, should of asked service. I will say that it is not only new cds, but old ones too.
Make sure you double check the info (artist, album and tracks). I found some CD's with wrong artist and everything else is correct, or wrong info all together.
So i went out and bought a compact flash card to try the fix on infinitis web site. When I get to "search missing titles" it is greyed out on my music box. Anybody know why? I have several albums with no data (artist, or song)??? The car was in park, cause I know some of the options are missing when you are driving
My problem is that when the system doesn't recognize an album and you manually edit the artist and album title, it still won't display properly when you are cycling through your albums or playing it.

You'd really have to be obsessive to go through that much bother just to label a few tracks in your car-MP3 player. You can edit the album and artist quickly enough manually after you rip the music (although inexplicably the artist tag doesn't work properly as my other reply stated).
