then there is an issue somewhere. that adapter will charge everything. Maybe the adapter is bad.

I have an 09 G37 Journey and I bought this device about a year ago. Its quite fidgety and sometimes you have to plug and re-plug it for it to recognize the phone.

Other than that, it should work. Make sure your device has the latest OS (Right now its 4.3.3).

Iphones and Ipods aren't the same. For some dumb reason Apple changes the charging voltage so the Iphone won't work on older Ipod charging docks. Mine doesn't charge, but I did hear of the adapter that does...maybe the newer cables are update to charge right. It is pretty dumb to have Ipod connectivity and no charging.

I got my 09 G37s two weeks ago or so and purchased the Scoche passport converter and this did not change behavior with my iPod touch 2G (which also has the newer USB-based charging). I have full control through the stereo unit, but still no charge. I'm going to try some other iPods to see what the deal is. Head scratcher.

again same with me, it doesn't charge my iphone or ipod. I have my iphone car charger that does the trick!

any updates to this? I have tried the adapter and my Iphone 4 still wont charge. I'm an 09 G37 also.

The USB port will charge my Motorola Droid X with the micro cord.

$10 cord from target charges my iPhone 3G plugged into the usb port. Doesn't solve your issues, but just provides support.

I had a 2009 G37x and no charging for my Ipod touch 4gen. For some reasons I changed for a 2010 G37x /same Ipod. Now it's charging. Note the connection is now through an USB cable. Hope it helps.

I just tried this over the weekend (2011 G37 sport) and charges the iPhone 4 (Verizon, 4.2.10)

I have a '08 G37 coupe without Nav. iphone 3GS and my new iPhone 4S will NOT charge. It will play all music and let me control it from the head unit but no charge. I would like to use my old iPhone 3GS in the car as an iPod now. I've looked into this "Scosche passPORT Charging Adapter for iPod & iPhone" on amazon and it sounds like its for use with every iDevice before the 3GS i have. Does anyone have experiance with this problem? Other than this issue I love this car. I just got it used with only 24,000 miles on it.

the scosche passport works on all iphones. I worked on my 3g, 3gs, and now my iphone 4. No problems at all.

The Scosche Passport came it today from Amazon and it worked perfect. Thank you for all the info. Now unlimited music from my old iPhone in the G. No need to worry about charging it every couple days. I paid around $18 bucks and couldn't be happier.
