My problem is this: i am CONSTANTLY getting the low key fob battery indicator in my instrument panel. i change the battery and it will show up in less than one week. this can NOT be normal. sometimes i have to insert the fob into the cradle area thing, sometimes it reads the signal just fine, but usually i always get the low key fob battery warning regardless of how fresh the battery is.

so my question is: what is wrong with my car? i doubt it is the key fob itself since i have changed my fob's battery over four times. i've had the car less than one year.

any suggestions? thanks folks.

It could be the RF receiver in the dash that FOB communicates with. The dealer should be able to quickly diagnose.

also if you have in your pocket sometimes buttons can be pushed with tight jeans

or if you keep the fob in the same pocket as a cell phone. i dont know why it messes with it but when i have my fob next to my iphone it wont open the doors then i push the button on the door and as soon as i move them apart it works just fine.
