alpine type r 10 inch

so after much debate i finally decided to buy a subwoofer my g coupe. i went with the alpine type r 10 inch and alpine mrp-m500 amp. rms is rated at 500 watts which i would think will be enough. whats your guys opinion on this? also since i haven't installed it yet, was wondering where you would recommend to get it installed? i was thinking best buy, but im not sure yet.

I'm not a fan of Best Buy installs. They don't seems to take the time to do a good job IMO. A few times I thought I would ask the installers and car audio installers a question only to be disappointed by the complete lack of common knowledge. No faith in Best Buy sorry.

Not going to say anything about stuff you already bought. Best time for an opinion is before you buy. Oh, what the hell - Not a fan of Alpine speakers. Great decks not so great speakers. Ok I'm done.

I would install it yourself. You can do it and there are a lot of Do it yourself threads here. Or, go to a good Car audio shop in your area if you have one.

if you want amazing quality and sounds from a sub get a JL Audio. best in the business IMO. As far as install goes, I would say either DIY and if you're not comfortable doing that take it to Car Toys. They are a little pricey but they do good work

yeah definitely get some pics, I figure the Type R will fill out the lack of bass, or lack of sound at all in the rear. what kind of enclosure are you using

Why do you post a thread asking advice when you knew what you already knew what you were going to do. Compliment fishing?

I'm glad you like your setup. Much better options exist for not much more money though.
