modifying g37 armrest to accomodate dvd player

I'm looking at mounting a remote dvd player - I've seen these mounted in the glovebox but I wonder if there is enough space to mount one into a modified armrest vertically. Has anyone tried anything like this? Looks like a good location for access to power and video inputs. I'm not sure how much available space is under the armrest.

Most people just put a slim player in the glovebox.

I would say no. I have taken apart an AT armrest and there is no space under the armrest. Basically what you see is what you get with size. Not sure of an MT armrest but I would say it is the same. The glove box is your best bet.

If anything, Doug, there's even less space on the MT armrest.
