Droid and G37S

Just curious if anyone has the Motorola Droid and if so, how do you play music on it in your G37?

Thanks!

Very interested as well. I think I am going to be picking up the droid in the next week or two.

+1 on any feedback from Droid owners. I can get the Verizon new every 2 discount in a few months and am leaning towards the Droid.

I remember a thread when the Droid first came out (it might have been here or at Driver)about issues with Bluetooth compatibility, but most people seemed to think that it would be fixed with a Droid software update.

So in addition to the playing music question for any Droid owners, how does the bluetooth work for you?

+ 1

Never crossed my mind to steam music, but the bluetooth works great.

If you try to stream music from the Droid, could you let us know how that works out?

My (very uneducated) impression on this was that you would not be able to use the Bluetooth to stream music.

I think the OPs question has how can you play music from the Droid through the car stereo. Bluetooth might be the answer, but I thought that you would have to buy an adapter to play from the headphone jack to the aux inputs. Again, there's a good chance I'm wrong, so someone feel free to correct me.

You CANNOT stream music via bluetooth on the 37...the navi/sound sys does not support it.

+1; The bluetooth in the 08-09 Infiniti G37 does not support A2DP for streaming music.

I believe Infiniti added A2DP to their bluetooth on the 2010 G37.

You all should wait for either the confirmed Nexus One or the rumored HTC Passion/Bravo/Incredible (which is what I'm banking on getting).

Aside from the music, its flawless. I can't remember the last time I actually had to use the handset to use the phone. I dial my numbers from the phone book on the NAV, or use the voice to dial by number. Pickup incoming call, hang up, mute, etc all from the stearing wheel. Crystal clear sound from my speakers, and the folks I talk to say they can hear me just fine.

Before I had the droid, I had an iPhone 3Gs. I'd say the Droid is just as good as far as working with the G37. Of course I couldn't play music witht he iPhone either, I never bothered to get the adapter.

Only problem with the droid, which has nothing to do with the G37, is its lack of activesync support. Its a nearly perfect phone, otherwise. But thats a conversation for another forum

So wait, is there an adapter I can get that will convert the headphone from the phone to something I can plug into the aux jacks? That would be fine for me. I wasn't looking for anything fancy like Bluetooth. I'd love it if there was an adapter.

Any thoughts?

There are definitely cables you can get to use the droid with the aux. Just go to radioshack and browse around!
