Thinking about adding a sub...Need some opinions
I'm looking for a subwoofer setup for the G and I need some help putting the kit together, as I don't have much technical knowledge regarding audio setups.
In my old car, I had a dual voice coil 12" Alpine Type R in a box that took up half my trunk. It was just overkill...So I'm looking something a bit more mild. For the G, I'm thinking a 10" JL Audio W6v2 sub with a Zenclosure box will fit the bill nicely. I'm assuming I can just tap into the stock Bose amp for signal.
So off to the questions...
What amplifier should I get to match the sub? (375 RMS is optimal for the sub)
Do I need a capacitor?
Do I need a crossover?
How is the Zenclosure box? Is it snug and stays in place?
What wiring kit do people recommend?
Thanks ahead for everyone's help.

Well first ill tell you dont run the signal wire off the bose amp. Theres something wierd that makes it keep the amp on even after your car is off.
Just run the signal wire to your fuse box to a fuse that goes off with the ignition.
If all you need is 375w RMS you dont need a capacitor.
Ive never used a crossover so i dont think its a necessity, just a preference for some. Depends how detailed you want your sound system to be.
I have the Zenclosure and am very pleased, i had one on my last G sedan and have one in my coupe now. Fits very well and stays in place.
You can just buy a basic amp wiring kit. If you need 375w RMS youll prob be running around a 600w peak i suppose. Youre best bet is just get a 4 guage kit.
