iPhone Users w/ G37 Coupe???
Hi guys, Im new here but I figured this would be the best place to seek some advice...
Have any of you had trouble after the latest software update using your iPhone as an iPod through the Infiniti connection cable? Does Infiniti have a specific cable for the iPhone these days?
A long time ago I bought an adapter that allowed the standard Infiniti iPod cable to also charge my iPhone and it worked great. I could use it as an iPod and charge the phone.
Now, after the software update, it charges my iPhone but the Infiniti does not recognize that the iPod is plugged in and yet the phone says "Device Connected."
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Wow, I have no clue. I stopped updating after 3.0 since I kept hearing how things would break afterward (didn't know the car iPod interface would be affected too). There's been no worthwhile features introduced in 3.1 IMO.
You could always downgrade your firmware back to 3.0, maybe that'd give you a temporary solution.

I just got my G37 coupe in July and it came with an IPOD cable connnector. I dont have an I-phone, but I'll try it with one of my friends and let you all know. I've been thinking of doing that and streaming pandora which beats XM.

I just restored mine last night (so I would assume it is the most up to date firmware) and was able to listen to music fine, but it wasn't charging (it never was able to)
this was an update to the iPhone firmware you are talking about right?

Not trying to hijack this thread but I noticed something too. I was messing around with a friends Garmin GPS and paired my Jailbroken 3.12 Iphone and surprise! the phonebook replicated! Today I tried it again but with a stock 3.12 Iphone and that worked too. So, I thought let's try it on the G37 again......nope no phonebook transfer. Has anyone with the newest GPS update had any success?

Sorry, not sure if I follow. You said both stock and JB iPhones transferred the phonebook to your friend's Garmin, but both did not transfer in the G. So you're wondering if the latest GPS update (I'm assuming for the car) has had any effect on getting the phonebook transfer to work?
The "GPS update" offered through Infiniti is just a new map pack with updated roads. The ability to transfer phonebooks remains unchanged, and it shouldn't have anything to do with the navi itself since some other OBEX capable phones have been able to do this since the car's debut. Unless OBEX is enabled on the iPhone, the phonebook transfer shouldn't be working, so it puzzles me how your friend's Garmin managed to do it...
Or am I missing something here?

Nope you're not missing anything. It just ask's for the first challange to pair. Then I figured that would be it. When I checked the phonebook I was amazed to see that it had all of my phone's entry's So, there was no second challange to transfer the phonebook like our cars want. That's why I think the Infiniti Engineers could talk to them and fix this situation. I was careful to check a stock phone and it worked too!
