Need help deciding on new audio system for my G

Hey everyone, I've been lurking around the site for a while but this is my first post. Got my 09 g37x coupe almost 2 months ago and need to do something about the audio, because bose really dropped the ball.. I've listened to a bunch of component speakers and shopped around a bit and have to choose these two comparably priced options.. I really like the Millie series from Hertz. I havn't heard of these amps before though. Anyone have experience with these products?

I'm waiting for my 4080 box in the mail at the moment.

Option 1:
Hertz MLK 165 2way components
Alpine imprint DSP
JL 10w6v2
JL HD900/5

Option 2:
Hertz MLK 165 2way components
Audison bit one processor
Audison LRx 5.1k
Hertz HX 250 10" subwoofer

I can get deals on the rest of the equipment if i want to go with a different sub on each option thats a possibility as well. whats the best 10" (leaning more toward sq than spl, but still want some thump) sub that will fit in the 4080 box? Anything different you would do with the system (i dont really think i need any rear speakers)?

Thanks for any input!

option 2 all the way man. our shop dropped JL for Hertz/Audison and it was a great decision. The Bit One is a phenomenal piece. as far as amps, the Audison kills it. You may want to look into Dynaudio speakers too. i prefer them over the Hertz. Also depends on your budget tho. Good luck and subscribing for the outcome!

Yeah I was kinda leaning towards option 2. I've only heard good things about audison. My concern in the subwoofer, having heard both would you prefer that hertz sub or the 10w6? Is that amp too much for either of those subs? Is there a better 10" out there?

I just got my Audison But I need to order the speakers and amps next. That being said, I'd recommend option 2 since I'm biased toward the Bit One.

As for the speakers, I'm leaning toward the Dynaudio speakers.

As for the sub, I have been reading pretty good stuff with the JL Audio. But I have also had a few people recommend the Image Dynamics IDQ10v3 if I wanted more SQ over SPL (when comparing it with the JL Audio). I remember reading somewhere in here that they put the IDQ into the 4080 with good results...so I might go that route too.

You will have to keep us posted on what you get!!!

like drew said im a fan of the Image Dynamic subs. fairly inexpensive and u get both SQ and SPL sound out of em. if u go with either the JL w6 or the Hertz sub u will have a good outcome. both subs are fairly comparable. i use to have the W6s in my old vehicle and they were awesome. its probably the only JL sub i would use. either way ya go tho is a good option. check out Image Dynamics IdMaxx tho. good luck

As far as subs go, I will say the IDMAX is the best sub that fits in the 4080 box. You will have to get a spacer and you cannot use the supplied grille, but it will work. I have tried the JL10W6V2, the Boston G5 10 and an ARC Audio 10. The IDMAX is the best sounding so far and also the most powerful.

Is yours with or without the navigation? I'm looking to import a JDM G37 and quite frankly don't want to get stuck with the Bose system but after looking through the G37's FSM, I notice the head unit is connected to the CAN bus as well which would mean a lot of things from my display would go missing.

I've Googled 'till my fingers bleed but haven't really found anything to confirm or debunk my suspicions about changing the head unit.
