Shorten Voice Prompts?

Is there a way to shorten or turn off the voice prompts in our car? Since I have an 09 (with the ridiculously shortened list of voice commands), I have already grown to dislike it...it's not useful at all! Whenever you hit the voice button, you have to wait for the verbal instructions for each step. Out of thew few useful items left, it's almost not worth it because I have to wait for her to tell me the same damn instructions every time I hit the button. Is there a way to shut it off or at least shorten the instructions she gives? All I really use is HOME or REDIAL now since everything else takes too long and I'd rather hit the buttons instead.

Yes - IT"S IN THE MANUAL!

Go to SETTING > OTHERS > VOICE RECOGNITION > MINIMIZE VOICE FEEDBACK and turn it on.

You can skip the voice instructions by just hitting the call button on the steering wheel (the top one of the two call buttons), I use that all the time, don't even bother listening to any of the instructions anymore..

lol, thanks guys.

I have actually read the manual, but I forgot about that feature in the other section. I read it when I first bought the car and was still getting used to all of the new features.

Now I feel even sillier for not going back to the manual, or at least figuring it out, before going crazy!
