any body ever glue a radar detector?

I have my radar detector mounted at the top of the windshield to the right of the sun glass holder and direct wired into the rear view mirror power. I really like the location, you can hardly see it from the outside, its not directly in my line of sight and it seems to pick up signals very well.

The only thing I don't like is the suction cups. They hold for a few weeks and then let go. Very annoying. Has anyone ever tried to use rear view mirror glue to attach the mount? I know it would be semi permanent but that does not bother me if it works.

I used good double sided tape. Still kinda ghetto but it works and isn't seen from the outside.

Get out of the dark ages

3M dual lock. It's clear and will hold up a small army on your windshield. You can thank me later.....
