Can you actually elaborate on your experiences with both phones? What are the main differences between the LG & the Apple?

The iPhone 3GS works great. What specifically did you have issues with?

Yes, on both our BB Curve and LG Rumor, you can use the phone to select your contact, hit talk on the phone and it automatically dials through the bluetooth.

You can use ALL your phones features directly from the phone itself. All the bluetooth is in that case is a hands-free system, i.e. you can use speed dial, contacts, dial extra digits for voicemail, etc. It's not magic.

Thanks, all. Last night I finally had the car back from the wife (reluctantly) and I had a go with the phone. Indeed, it works just fine by dialing right from the phone. Very good. It would be nice if it were easier to get all my contact info over to the car, without so much labor. But, not that big of a deal, and I really only need just my close contacts available through voice command.

For the 3GS iPhone user - are you finding that things like caller ID, and call waiting are working through the car's system?

With the iPhone, it must be really convenient, because you can access your tunes, charge the battery, and use the phone, concurrently.

Does the 3GS charge properly (or at all) with the supplied Infiniti data cable?

No, you need a $25 adapter for it to charge.

The apple store sells the adapter. It's called the Scosche passPORT Charging Adapter.

I have an HTC touch, and it's impossible to put the whole phone listing from the phone to the car. WITH navigation... I tried several ways, and it freeze the system. I hate the fact that I have to input all the name and number by myself. I'm a real estate agent and I keep getting new clients... no-one found a way to do it?
