370z roadster Navi upgrade....
I checked out the info for the new 370z roadster and it seems that they've updated the software in the navigation system, which is cool, but not cool because I don't have it. They've added XM weather along with a Bluetooth music interface and what appears to be a USB media interface. The CF card is still present. The screens seem a bit sexier too. And I can only pray that the FULL voice command has been restored. We need to look into the possibility of upgrading our software to this new version because I HIGHLY doubt there are any hardware changes besides the possible USB jack which may or may not just be a change to the iPod connector/cable. It also could make use of the empty connector thats unused on the right side of the headunit, in which case I'm sure we could fab up a USB Connection harness and mount the receptacle or hopefully get the wire from Nissan provided its not integrated into the main harness. The only down side I could see is that the startup splash screen would have a Nissan logo instead of an Infiniti logo. Then again, the 2010 G may have this update as well but that remains to be seen. All I know is that when the Roadster comes out this summer we need to find one and rip it apart. I want an update!

no updates due to the system being different... just like the earlier G37's have the full voice recognition (which I rarely use anyways) versus the new version.
thats why they come out w/ new toys every other year. at least the G37's are holding their values well to trade up when the new features come out.

I haven't heard anything yet, put im 99% sure they are using the XM Nav-weather feature.. as far as radar, select Acura vehicles now offer "doppler" styled radar maps that can be displayed on your navigation screen..

Unless it also has a weather radar map, I couldnt justify paying a fee when I can get the same thing on my Blackberry for free. Hopefully its more accurate than XMTraffic too...
