Bluetooth issues!!!

Every phone I've tried using with my G37 has had bluetooth issues. I had an HTC Touch that required me to disconnect then reconnect every time I made a call. Now I just got a new Palm Pre and the audio cracks in and out. Its almost like my phone is out of range. I've tried both these phones in a BMW with no issue. Is there an issue with the G37 bluetooth hardware? Is there a software update I can get from the dealer? Or am I the only one with this issue and there something wrong with my car? Thanks

I have the Touch Pro and I have not had any connect issues at all. I have had the audio popping you speak of a few times, but usually it works fine.

I just got the Palm Pre and have the same exact issues as you...I have a feeling since we have newer phones that they may not have worked the bugs out yet...I wonder if Infiniti can fix the problem?

I just got a Pre, too. There are other people with this same issue as well. It's not something Infiniti will need to fix from what I've read. Palm will have to push out a firmware update to fix this.

I'm having the same issue as the OP as well.

The issue is actually with the phone. The newer phones will disconnect then reconnect the bluetooth connection as ncessary to conserve battery life.

Sadly, there will never be a bluetooth update for the vehicle itself ... you'll have to count on Palm to create a bluetooth fix -- i would expect one in the near future as it's a really new phone and it's likely due for many software fixes soon...

I had a blackberry pearl that never had any issues, than i got a Google G1 and now my bluetooth will recognize that a call is incoming, but when I answer the phone my car thinks that I am hanging up instead of answering it.

try reseting the phone... actually take the battery out for 5 minutes and see what happens. some people never reset the phone and it does work better. not every phone will work as well as others

I have a Palm Pre as well. It seriously sucks in the 2009 G37 coupe. You cant hear what the people are saying and it is basically not useable. Has anyone figured out what is going on? I know its not the signal becuase I wasnt moving and then disconnected the bluetooth and the phone sounded fine in regular mode.

Ok....I am glad I am not alone but I have to say I AM PISSED at Infiniti. 2005 G35 No problem, 2008 FX no problem, got a 2009 G37s week later the phone doesn't WORK! Common a bluetooth issue? I am using Blackberry Tour just for the record and I am experiencing same problem. Infiniti WAKE UP!!

Please post here if you find a FIX to this issue.

I have Blackberry Storm and I have to unconnect and reconnect every time I get in the car even though it shows on both the car and phone that they are reading each other and the blue light on the phone is lit.

I can confirm that the palm pre works great now with my 2009 g37s coupe. It must have been fixed in a firmware update on the pre. Its great having bluetooth that works now!!!
