I have the passport also. Get lasered and you're screwed if you don't see the cop, but I'm not out to speed either, just like knowing if a highway patrol is around a corner to monitor my speed. Ka band is the band mostly used, and the V1 and passport pick that up the best compared to other detectors. It's paid for itself, driving at night when a cops lights are off. Like last night on the 5 going to the sunset riders meet.

IMO I think radar detectors are just a waste of money. Like BB said just drive the speed limit and take it to court if you get pulled over going the speed limit. I think you should just save yourself money and drive more slowly

One thing to be aware of is that the LCD screen will generate false Laser alerts. It could be that your boarderline in location of your detector and bumps or any movement in the detector would cause it to trip. Mine would go off continuously with it mounted on the mirror, I solved it by taping the bottome section of the laser detector that faced down with electrical tape to block the LCD.

since you hate cops so much....next time u need one because ur house got broken into, etc., call a crackhead instead lol.
In the mean time. Like said before. Most cops use lidar now and your tagged before you get a chance to slow down. Getting a detector will help, but to avoid getting a ticket, fix the source and don't speed at all.
What was the speed limit anyways?

Police officers tend to pick the car that they see speeding first. this is normally the bright yellow, red, or wild looking colors. Along with flashy and nicer vehicles. They catch their eyes over normal cars. So take it as a compliment. Pay the ticket. Don't speed. And move on.
