Fix for getting song info on MusicBox
Just curious if there is any new "fix" coming or a better workaround for getting the song info when ripping CDs into the MusicBox.
I was amazed when I tried ripping a few songs from a CD that it had zero song info, no album, artist, etc.
I have seen the workaround in this forum about downloading a file to the CF, use your PC to find the song info and reload - that seems a bit crazy for 2009 state of the art technology.
Is there a fix coming from Infiniti or somewhere so this would start working right the first time?
Better question is why is it now allowed to rip an MP3 CD with all of the song info already there - is it some sort of DRM issue? Why not suck it in off of the CF? Anyone know if a fix is coming or we're stuck for now...
Thanks!

I rip CD's from actual legit CD's. All the info is there. if you are ripping mp3's from cd's you have made then you are wasting your time. Just transfer those to the CF and input the info you want.
If you are using actual legit cd's and the info is not there, then you may have something wrong with your HU and need it replaced. do it now, cause it takes months to get a new one unless they have some in stock.
thanks,

Is the last part (new CD's) not obvious?
