MP3 Players + G37

Quick Q,
I'm assuming everyone with a G doesnt have an ipod. What cable / connection do you have for other MP3 Players i.e. [ Iriver / Zune ] etc
Thanks.

Edit: Also, What MP3 players are you using?

Use an iRiver adapter that plays through AM/FM stereo channels, it's connnected to the cig adapter in the center console next to drivers right arm. I'm using a Sansa 8gb mp3 player b/c you can download your Rhapsody music to it, which means I get any music I want for $16/month and can take it anywhere.

Usually it's pretty good, some slight crackles depending on where I'm driving, I just find a station with complete static (89.1) and use that channel and it's almost always crisp and clear...

Spoke to a guy at the store today. He said I can use a Y cable and plug it into the aux? port, or see if infiniti has a connector similar to the IPOD connector that has a universal audio plug instead, which would have better sound quality. Are you guys aware of such a connector?

So you are using a Y Cable?
Is there a noticable sound degredation?

I love this thing. Just hard to find albums.

I'm using my iPod Nano, iPhone, CF Reader, and Music Box. In that order.

You can use any generic stereo to RCA cable.

Something like:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=3449315

I'm using one of those those, along with a Cigarette lighter to USB connector if
my mp3 player happens to run out of batteries. (it charges via USB)

Those two cables really chew up the space in the compartment though, and I think I
will be going to CF instead.

I use an Iaudio U3.
It kind of sucks there's no access hole, although the center lid doesn't shut super
tight, so you can have the cables hang out (so you can control the player)
and still close the lid.

Actually, turns out I was wrong - there is an access hole, kind of hidden. Look at the bottom of the center lid, and you can see where it lines up with a 'dent'. That's the access hole.

But can you operate the ZUNE via the controls on the navigation screen and steering like you can with an ipod?
