KP Tech Nav Interface Module -- Installation

I've ordered the KP Tech nav interface module, more accurately described as a nav lockout bypass module. Now the challenge is to find someone to install it. There's no way I'm taking a shot at this install myself.

I assume it's a foregone conclusion that no Infiniti service dept would do the install, though they should know the car's electrical system better than anyone. I note that the PDF install manual provided by KP refers to the layout for a 2007-8 G35 sedan, and disclaims reliance on that schematic for any other model or year--though they do say they have tested the module and it works on the G37.

Where would you recommend looking to find a willing and competent installer? The KP guy says any good car audio installer should be able to do it, following their instructions. I'm thinking more along the lines of an independent service shop that regularly handles Infinitis--but they wouldn't be seeing any 09 G37's at this point b/c they're under warranty. However, I assume they would have ready access to the official service manuals for the car.

Any suggestions? Also, I believe there's another thread or two on this but I'd be happy to hear from others who've done this as to how the unit has worked out for them.

Thanks in advance.

Where are you located? Perhaps a member who lives near you can help you out.

do you know how to solder? The only hard part is the solder, the wiring is very simple if you have basic knowledge on it. I never mess with wires a day in my life but i got my friend to solder the two wires that needed to be solder and i wire everything up myself. Theres a DIY on Kptech.

this is for the 07/08 g35 sedan but is identical to the g37(i tested it myself)

Thanks, guys. I'm in the Hinterlands (Iowa) and there aren't too many G's running around here (though that will probably change some withthe introduction of the X, which is what brought me into the fold).

The confirmation that the schematic in the installation PDF is the same as the G37 is a big help. I'm aware of the support options through KP. Now I just need to find someone I'd trust to do it right!

They have one that's pre soldered and you just switch it.

I was the original tester for the G37 application and this is the exact instruction set I used to install mine. I encountered no problems at all doing this following these instructions.

If you wish to make it easier on yourself, as stated, KPTech offers presoldered pieces as a core return.

I had a friend at an Audio shop help with the installation. Actually easier than I thought it would be. I love it. No more having to hit the enter button all the time is the the best.
