the merge is still very new.. think if Sony and Microsoft merged, would you be mad that your xbox doesn't play ps3 games without upgrading to new hardware? When the technology in our vehicles was designed it was only to decode XM signals. I am not sure on the legalities on who has access to what information when comparing Google, Sirius/XM.I would imagine there are probabbly rights to the information..

Looks like Sirius and Goole have roughly the same coverage. I am definitely dropping NV Traffic at the end of my subscription if there is no improvement. My wife's car has the NAV Traffic feature but I have yet to turn it on because there is no need to have useless features in two cars...
