Angel Eye fix

Hi Guys,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
<o></o>
I've been lurking on this bored from a little while and since I just got my G two days ago, I figured it would be a good time to start posting. I got a used 08 g37s with about 10k miles from a dealer. It looks like the previous owner had angel eyes put on the car. Everything is flawless with the vehicle except the driver side eyes do not light up, just the passenger side. Well I have two questions. <o></o>
<o></o>
1. - What could be a few common problems causing this?<o></o>
<o></o>
2. - I will have a shop fix is as I do not want to mess with electrical, should I go to an aftermarket car shop or the Infiniti dealer? Would the Infiniti dealer even touch it? <o></o>
<o></o>
Any help or advice would be appreciated. <o></o>

Thanks Aliiin,

I'm pretty sure that it did not work at the dealer as its only been two days. I didn't even know I had them, or what they where until I found the term on this board. Didn't know if the dealer would even fix aftermarket lights but I will ask tomorrow. Here are a couple of pictures though if it does help.

lol, looks cool, you got free angel eyes with your G... if you bought it from the dealer, they should do something about it.

yea i agree...if you bought it from the dealer like that and it was out...then i feel they should do something about it.

if you put them in after or they went out after then they would prob not help you out...but since you bought it from them with it out you can prob bring that up to them.

Inverter burnt, like someone suggested.

Something not secured and became loose.

Parts fried from heat or poor design.

Any of the above.

How reliable are these? I'm contemplating installing umnitza halos.. but i don't want to have to deal with burnt out lights...

I know a couple people who got their halos from umnitza on their bimmers... they look hot and hold up real good. I think my cousin got his on his 3 series for over a year now and I havn't heard anything going wrong. But IMO halos were for bimmers, ironmans is for G's . But halos still look sick on a G, no doubt.

Here is the update. The dealer said that there was an open short and he would have to replace the entire headlight assembly. He's doing both sides for free but the new ones will not have the Angel eyes. It seems excessive as the other lights work. Oh well.

How did they find the short? Is it in an area where it can be fixed?
