my ipod touch plays in black and white

I have the apple composite cable for my ipod touch. My ipod used to play in color but ever since my friend connected his iphone, my screen only plays in black and white. anyone else had this kind of problem?

Go to Settings/ Ipod. Under TV Out section, make sure that TV Signal is set to NTSC.
