AUX Video Problem
Hi guys,
im new on these forums, and i wanna say good job. i was a member of a few car forums, and i have to say the level of professionalism here is far greater than on many forums that i have seen...
i own a 2008 black G37. the cars we get on this side of the world are a bit different in terms of options to those in the states. we only have one standard option, and its the G37S... however, its got the 6MT specs and options, but it doesnt come with a manual tranny... although im a big fan of manual transmission, and my last 2 cars were both manual, im not really complaining... im realizing that im enjoying the auto tranny just as much (just saying this makes me feel that im getting old)
anyway, i was wondering if you can actually play movies on the AUX through an ipod. i have an ipod nano, and i have the wires that dont charge ur ipod, yet i cant play any movies in the car. i was wondering if its something im missing or if the system simply doesnt support video files! and no im not trying this while im driving, i tried it while it was on park!
any help would be appreciated
cheers

look at the end of the AUX cable you got that connects to the iPod and make sure its got 3 black strips rather than 2. If you're in P and you're in AUX mode you should be fine.. I believe we get the same cars over here

Are you using authentic ipod cables from Apple?
I know that newer gen Nanos and Ipod classics won't work.
I believe 2nd gen Classics will and iTouch. Not sure about nano's.
