Duh... Um... Nice English. I don't know where you could get any cop radars. Not sure a radar would pick up a cop 3 miles away. Maybe if you had an AWACS with one of their cool spinning radars atop. Maybe you could use sonar instead. I might use a radar detector though instead as its hard to pic up one radar with another radar. How old are you?

Sorry, its early and I'm feeling a bit cynical.

Snareman im feeling the same way

To OP: A radar detector does exactly what it sounds like, "detects radar". How the hell is it going to pick up a radar if the cop doesnt have it on? Man you are dumb. Anyways, get a V1. It's helped me plenty of times and can detect radar from a good distance.

If you have 5 exhaust mod tickets so far - maybe it's time to do something about that....

I don't know of any radar detector that will pick up a cop car in a 3 mile radius. And as stated above - the cop must have radar/laser for the detector to pick up. It will not pick up a car without these.

Anyhow - I have an Escort 8500 - and I'm happy with it.

Beltronics is a really good one. Of course if you don't want to dish out the dough for the Valentine. My husband and I have had them in our cars for the past 4 years. They are tested to reach 5 miles but to my experience, they reach about 3-4. The only problem is if you are traveling through deep hills. I think that is the same problem for all radar detectors though.

I had a 8500 x50 for 3 years, no tickets here. If i could do it again, i would probably go for the Valentine 1 though, seems to have a HUGE fan base.

Regardless, if your getting caught so much you should look into correcting your driving style before dumping money into a "seemingly" quick fix. A radar detector is a tool to help you avoid the cops, it will not prevent them from appearing on the road.

radar schmadar.....none really work well enough for my taste.....and a radar will not help you with the modification tickets my man! Maybe you can invent a mod ticket happy cop radar for that. haha

I live in the heart of Los Angeles and I have not received one ticket for my car despite being pulled over once just to make sure I wasn't drunk. As for as radars...I don't use one because no cop I know personally has told me they work very well. It might just be better to just slow down.

Valentine one... I'm sure there are many haters but its the only radar that has arrows that let you know if the cop is in front, side or behind. Its expensive but you get what you pay for and u can update the software every couple years if you want. I have friends who drive at over 150 in supercars, what radar do they use? Guess V1? Your right.

I agree having the arrows is a must now its one of those things that you cant go without once you have it. I was unaware of the software updates thought thats pretty cool, makes me like having my V1 even more. The V1 has paid for it self numerous times already as soon as i get an alert i check my speed and put it in high gear to keep the decibel level down. I would definitely recommend a V1 to anyone excellent product, great quality even the suction cups are better.
