So i got some great news and info from my Service god at Infiniti.
Our cars come with a 1yr/20k.
He told me that sometimes weight restriction applied to the window ie. arm on the window while putting it up(sounds stupid but you might of done it to mess with a passenger that has their arm on the window and you put the window up to scare them etc..)
In this case they need to remove the door panel and reset the motor manually. It's free the first year or the maximum KM/Miles after that it's like a $100.00 or so.
Hope this helps and tell your friends

Uh oh... after I changed my battery my drivers side window when using auto roll up will go all the way up and then move down to half way =( it does this pretty consistently unless i have the window 3/4 up.
I tried the 15 sec down 15 sec up reset as well as the other reset:
If the windows do not close
automatically
If the power window automatic function (closing
only) does not operate properly, perform the
following procedure to initialize the power window
system.
1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Close the door.
3. Open the window more than halfway by
operating the power window switch.
4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to
close the window, and then hold the switch
more than 3 seconds after the window is
closed completely.
5. Release the power window switch. Operate
the window by the automatic function to
confirm the initialization is complete.
6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other
windows.
If the power window automatic function does
not operate properly after performing the procedure
above, have your vehicle checked by an
INFINITI dealer.
but still does the same... it's over a year now i wonder how much they will charge me to fix this crap

my widow does the same thing every so often. it seems to go away after i shut my car off and turn it back on strange. but someone mentioned silicone spray on a rag to the rubber on the window trim because the window might think its being obstructed. ill give it a try my window has been squeaking loudly when the window hits the rubber right when it closes completely

did the silicone spray on rabg to the rubber on the window trim work for anyone?
Mine is happening intermittently and when i took it to the dealer it started working again. but it came back when i drove it home....
Just wondering ppl with this problem did you guys have your battery go bad and shut the door without the window goin down 1cm i wonder if that made the window out of allignment or squished the rubber trim/break the sensor..???

i haven't gone to the dealer. i don't know if it will really streak the window if the silicone is sprayed on a rag and rubbed into the top rubber of the window (not alot) and rubbed off again with a dry part of rag. for it to streak there would have to be like globs of it. when the window rolls down it would make contact with the bottom part and on the way up is the only time it could streak ( if there is excess on the bottom ) but i think it should be good i will try it if the noise gets bad again

I had the similar issue. But it only occurred when I rolled down both windows simultaneously and then wound them back up, the drivers window would go up then half way down. Then trying to put it back up it would rebound a few times until I could get it finally up on about 4-8 tries later.
I followed kkokko's 6 step fix up above and that seemed to have fixed it. Thanks!
