I like westernunion's idea of buying the Ipod classic. I might look into something like that. Right now I use CF most of the time even though I have a single 8GB Ipod. I don't always have my Ipod with me and I don't have to worry about taking it in/out of the car. My Dell monitor has a CF card reader so I just use that. Although you can find a CF reader that plugs into USB for under $10. I also have my entire CD collection ripped to my server in lossless compression. So its pretty easy to select which CDs to put on CF. I then use WinXP audio converter (part of Microsoft Plus Superpack) and copy to the CF, converting to 320kbs (max the car can use) using Intervideo's MP3 codec. There may be easier ways to do this - this is how I have done it since installing XP quite some time ago. I have three 4GB CF cards and have about 35 CDs on each (100+ total), all at 320kbs. All 3 cards probably cost a total of $38 (includes shipping). The quality off the CF seems to match the Ipod. I made a holder for the cards. See "CF Card Holder" in "Body Interior Exterior Lighting".

Thats a USB drive. The G37 accepts Compact Flash (CF) cards.

Remember there is a 500 limit in the total number of files/songs the player will recognize. So anything that gives you more space than 500 songs at your selected bitrate - will be more space than you can use (and cost more than necessary too).
