recommendations for aftermarket speakers for front?

Hey all! Just finished installing two kicker s12l7, ridiculous bass! Too much for Bose speakers to be heard , so I need to upgrade.. Looking for 100w rms and not to hurt my pocket meaning at most $150 mayb $200... Any suggestions? Also, what size are the fronts.. 3.25" or 3.5"?

If you have the Bose system, the door woofers are 10", the midranges are 3", and the tweeters are 1". It'll be hard to find really good speakers for < $200. Spend a little more and get a little more. DLS Ultimate Iridium 6.2.

Infinity Kappa's are pretty good. you can replace the 10" woofer with them.

anything in the price range your lookin at is going to be difficult. thats usually an entry level type set up. like finagle said the kappas are pretty nice. they run at a 2 ohm load so you will get a lil bit more out of them compared to most other brands. youre gonna want to run a component set up front to keep a good front stage. also keep in mind if youre gonna run an amp with the set up or not (highly advised with a nice component set up). good luck with the find and let us know if you change your price at all, maybe we can help you out a lil more.

I checked out the dls iridium speakers , definately out my budget... Im keeping the 10" woofers in, just changing the rear woofers, front speakers n tweeters. I'm gonna use a 4ch fosgate amp: 100w rms @ 4ohms and 200w rms @ 2ohms, for the rear I'm gonna use 5.25 Polk mono components using a adapter bracket... So I need some fronts. So let's anti up the price to $400 .. Now anymore suggestion?

the JL Audio C5s are amazing sounding speakers! they got voted the best speakers under $500 in a magazine i read. you might be able to find a pair for around 400 - 450. you would be very happy with those

the jl c5s won't fit in the front , there too big... I'm looking for a direct replacement 3.25" or 3.5". Whichever the correct size is.

The output of a speaker accounts for the most variability within a system. Instead of asking you should really go to a few shops and listen to lines of speakers that they carry. If at all feasible, listening in an auto application, in conjunction with sound boards, will give you good feedback as to which speaker has a sonic signiture that appeases your brain the most.
